Panasonic GH5 – Understanding the Autofocus

My friends have asked me how is the Autofocus for the Panasonic GH5. They saw reviews on the Internet complaining of poor Autofocus. I created this video to help people understand the Autofocus for the GH5. I usually use and recommend manual focus when doing video with the Panasonic GH5. When you can use the Viewfinder or the flip our screen to help you along with automatic zoom while focusing this really helps. There are 2 different autofocus modes (AFC, AFS) that I find useful in a talking head setup. In the Introduction Video I used the Autofocus continuous with facial detection to keep my face in focus. You can see the results in the video. I find that most autofocus problems can be corrected my pressing the shutter down halfway. Check out the Video for more of an explanation of how the autofocus and manual focus for the GH5 works.
