The Panasonic GH5 – Shooting Video Slow motion 4k 60fps Stock footage in Vancouver Downtown

I finally got my hands on the Panasonic GH5. This is the successor to the popular GH4 camera, which well known for it’s 4k video capabilities. Let’s take a look at the 4k slow motion footage shot in Vancouver shall we? It took awhile to get familiar with the camera. The settings required for slow motion for 4k are buried in the menu. This camera is not user-friendly, but all is forgotten after looking at the footage. I used a 12-60mm Panasonic lens with stabilization. The body itself has built-in stabilization. I shot around magic hour in Vancouver downtown. I’m happy with the how great the 4k footage looks in 60 fps. However, it doesn’t perform well at this resolution and frame rate at night-time. The lens may also be a factor as it doesn’t open up that wide. The video resolution is not full 4k. You are only able to shoot at 4k slow-mo at 3840 × 2160. The slow motion capability and stabilization are what make this camera such a draw.
